Polar Bear & Huskies
Stuart Brown describes Norbert Rosing's striking images of a wild
polar bear that came upon his sled dogs in the wilds of Canada's
Hudson Bay. The polar bear had not eaten for four months, and found
the team of sled dogs just as the photographer was going to capture
them at sunset. Rosing thought that his dogs were going to be
slaughtered, but found something else took place entirely.
The bear and the dogs started to play.
And the bear returned every night that week to hang out with the dogs.
What a wonderful world this can be.
